Deacon Theodore (Ted) Watkins

Ted WatkinsIt is with our deepest sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia, 31774 pause to announce the death and home going celebrations of Deacon Theodore (Ted) Watkins of Tifton Georgia formerly of Hazelhurst Georgia.  Born Friday February 12, 1937, in Hazelhurst Georgia to the late Mrs. Bernice Wilson Watkins and the late Mr. Emory Watkins.  Mr. Watkins received God's call to his heavenly home on Wednesday August 26, 2026, at his home in Tifton Georgia   He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife: Mrs. Edna Bivens Watkins of Tifton Georgia.  Their children: Mr. Harry Hall of Virginia Beach Virginia, Ms. Jennifer Solomon of McRae Georgia, Mr. Theodore Richardson of Virginia Beach Virginia, Mr. Alfred and Mrs. Jill Watkins of Atlanta Georgia, Mr. Mychael Bennett of Jacksonville Florida, Mr. Christopher and Mrs. DeVonne Watkins of Chattanooga Tennessee, Mr. Jamison and Mrs. LaTasha Moore of Rinco Georgia, Ms. Pamela Moore of Ocilla Georgia, and Mr. Louis Dunbar of Orlando Florida.  His siblings: Mr. Emory and Mrs. Ruby Watkins Jr. of Coolidge Georgia, Mr. Eddie Watkins of Hazelhurst Georgia, Ms. Minnie Ruth Watkins of Hazelhurst Georgia, Mr. Johnny and Mrs. Janice Watkins of Hazelhurst Georgia.  Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Deacon Theodore (Ted) Watkins is planned for Thursday September 3, 2026, at 12:00 noon from the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist church, 217 Piney Grove Church Road, where Rev. Dr. Stanford L.  Anderson 1 serves as pastor. His Rev. Ruben Bennett pastor of Kirkland Grove Missionary Baptist church will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Kirkland Grove Baptist church cemetery, 980 Kirkland Still Road Hazelhurst Georgia.  Deacon Watkins will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Wednesday morning, 9:00 until 12:00 noon and in the sanitary of Kirkland Grove Missionary Baptist church (980 Kirkland Still Road, Hazelhurst Georgia) from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements for Deacon Theodore Ted Watkins.  Please continue to pray for the Watkins and Bivens families.

Mr. Billy B. Jordan

Jordan of Ocilla Georgia.  Born December 23, 1952, in Ocilla Georgia to the late Mrs. Lillie Mae Stanley Jordan, and the late Mr. Eli Jordan.  Mr. Jordan received God's call to his enteral home on Sunday August 16, 2026, at his home in Ocilla.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Ms. Shonda Robinson of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Machael Mathis of New Port New Viginia, and Mr. Billy Demetris Jordan of Fitzgerald Georgia   His siblings:  Mr. Charlie Lee Jordan, Mrs. Neiley and Mr. Edgar Anderson Jr. all of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Lurlene and Mr. Geoy Mango of Tifton Georgia and Mr. Cleveland and Mrs. Mary Jordan of Willocoochee Georgia.  11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Billy B. Jordan is planned for Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from Rehoboth Fellowship church 501 East Pine Street in Ocilla where pastor Melvin D. Harper lll serves as pastor.  His pastor, Rev. Marvin H. Smith Sr. will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave in Ocilla.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangement for Mr. Billy B. Jordan.

Mr. Vincent Vernar Baker

Born August 21, 1989 in Fitzgerald Georgia, to Mrs. Wendy-Smith Baker (Lane) and the late Mr. Vince Venar Baker. Mr. Baker received his eternal call on Friday August 7,2026 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan Alabama. 
He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Kamron Baker of Auburn Alabama, Skylar Baker of Enterprise Alabama, London B. Baker and Chantel M. Baker both of Dothan Alabama. 
His mother and stepfather; Mrs. Wendy and Mr. Duke Lane of Ocilla Georgia, his siblings: Mr. Latrachia B. Baker of Dothan Alabama, and Ms. Alexia Kaylee Baker of Ocilla Georgia His Maternal Grandmother, Mrs. Dora Moses of Ocilla Georgia and his bonus Grandfather, Mr. Lemoria Moses of Ocilla Georgia along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends. 
A home going celebration for Mr. Vincent Vernar Baker is planned for Saturday August 15, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. from the Pleasant Grove 1st. Baptist church, 217 East 7th. Street, in Ocilla, where Rev. James C. Curtis Sr. serves as pastor and will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Highway 32 West Irwinville Georgia.  Mr. Baker will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements for Mr. Vincent Vernar Baker.
 
 

Mr. Leonard Leon Richardson Sr.

Leonard Richardson SrIt is with heartfelt sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia, 31774 pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mr. Leonard Leon Richardson Sr.  Born August 29, 1957, in Orlando Florida to the Mrs. Selester Bennett Richardson and the late Mr. Ulysses Slaughter.  Mr. Richardson received God's call to his eternal home on Monday July 13, 2026, in Orlando Florida.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his sons:   Mr. Leonard Leon Richardson Jr. and Mr. Lionel Richardson both of Fitzgerald Georgia.  His brothers: Mr. Carl Richardson, Mr. Ulysesses Richardson, Mr. Dennis Richardson, and Mr. Rouse Pittman Richardson.  His sister: Mrs. Mary Pryce and his favorite niece: Ms. Carolyn Richarson all of Orlando Florida along with a host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Leonard Leon Richardson Sr. was held on Saturday August 1, 2026, from the New Bethel Baptist church, 401 East 7th. Street, Ocilla Georgia where Rev. Dr. James Dexter Taylor Sr. serves as pastor..   Minister Eldric Wynn delivered the Eulogy.  Interment followed in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla was in charge of those arrangements.

Mrs. Deborah Starks (Lott)

Randy Shelly will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave, in Ocilla.  Mrs. Starks will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Sunday afternoon 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Monday morning 10:00 until the funeral hour.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Deborah Starks.  Please continue to pray for the Starks and Lott families.
