Mr. Davente Alexander Cockfield

What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear.  What a privilege it is to carry, everything to God in Prayer.  O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pains we bear.  All because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer.  With sadness in our heart, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia 31774 pause to announce the death of Mr. Davente Alexander Cockfield of Ocilla Georgi.  Born August 9, 1999 in Ocilla.  Mr. Cockfield gained his eternal wings on June 28, 2021 at his home in Ocilla. 

Mr. Cockfield is survived by his parent; Mr. John and Mrs. Daisy Carter Cockfield of Osierfield Georgia and Ms. Victoria Ross of Ocilla and Mr. Daniel Lewis of Douglas Georgia.  Siblings: Mr. Grant Cockfield, Mr. Will Cockfield, Mr. Travis Cockfield,  Mrs. Tracy McClelland, Ms. Kalysha  Nacole Cockfield, Ms. Veronica Cockfield,  Mr. Daniel Davis,  Mr. Davione Cockfield, Ms. Monica Ross and Ms. Latoria Davis.  Grandparent: Mrs. Charlie Mae Candy and Mr. Daniel Carter, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Homegoing services for Mr. Davente Cockfield  are planned for Saturday July 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  His Pastor Rev. Al Keith Milton will deliver the Eulogy and committal. Mr. Cockfield will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:30 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Cockfield, Ross and Lewis families.

 

Mr. Louis Mays

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.  With sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street Ocilla Georgia, pause to announce the death and memorial services for Mr. Louis Mays of Abbeville Georgia.  Born November 13, 1940 in Sumter co. Americus Georgia to the Late Mr. George Mays and the late Ms. Hattie Mae Williams.  Mr. Mays departed this life to join his heavenly host on Saturday June 19, 2021 at Glen Eagle Health care center in Abbeville Georgia.  Mr. Mays is survived by his wife Mrs. Mary Mays of Fitzgerald Georgia and his Niece Ms. Mary Brown of Abbeville Georgia along with a host of other relatives and friends.  Memorial services for Mr. Mays will be held on Friday July 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Abbeville city Auditorium in Abbeville Georgia.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all  arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Mays family.

Mr. Robert (Bobby) Cain

Robert CainA few more years shall roll, a few more seasons come.  And we shall be with those that rest asleep within the tombs.  With sincere sympathy the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia   31774 pause to announce the death of Mr. Robert  (Bobby) Cain of Jacksonville Florida formerly of Ocilla.  Mr. Cain is survived by his mother: Mrs. Berdell Cain of Ocilla Georgia.  His children: Jazmyn Alexia Cain, Denia Chenelle Spencer and Vernisha Nicole Spencer all of Jacksonville Florida.  Grandchildren: Brooklyn Taylor Stokes and Ryleigh Grace Stokes. His sibling:  Ms. Stephanie Williams, Ms. Deborah Washington, Ms. Gloria Martin, Ms. Paloma Cain, Ms. Angelich Goolsby, Mr. Johnny and Mrs. Branda Cain, Mr. Tracy and Mrs. Terrell Cain, Mr. Randy Morgan all of Ocilla Georgia.  Ms. Carlene Jones of Willacoochee  Georgia, Mr. Charlie Cain Jr. of Tifton Georgia, Mr. Joseph Cain of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Alice Cain of Rochester New York,  and Mr. Clarence Green of Boston Massachusetts.  Two grandchildren along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and  friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Robert (Bobby) Cain is  planned for Saturday June 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla City cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave.  Rev. Emanuel Ellison will deliver the eulogy.   Please pray for the Cain family as they prepare to celebrate the home going of their love one.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Eddie MackWhere he leads me, I will follow.  I'll go with him all the way.  I go with him over the mountain, I'll go with him, through the valley.  I go with him, I'll go with him,  I'll go with him all the way.  With heart felt  sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia   31774 pause to announce the death of Mr. Eddie Mack of Thomasville Georgia.  Born October 30, 1958 in Ocilla, Irwin county Georgia to the late Mrs. Myrtice Dunnom Mack and the late Mr. Rubie Lee Mack.  Mr. Mack departed this life on Sunday May 23, 2021 at his home in Thomasville Georgia.  He is survived by his children: Mrs. Marsikova and Mr. Demetrius Laster of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Tequilla and Mr. Eric Anderson of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Melanie Mack of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Lionel Reid of Ocilla Georgia, and Ms. Tiffany Reid of Valdosta Georgia.  Siblings:  Mr. Anthony and Mrs. Levise Mack of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Mr. Clarence Mack and Mr. Freddie Mack both of Ocilla Georgia along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. A home going celebration for Mr. Eddie Mack is planned for Saturday June 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery 700 North Oak street in Ocilla.  Rev. Randy Shelly will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mr. Mack will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:30 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Mack family.

Ms. Wynn is survived by her children: Mr. Demetrius and Mrs. Marsikova Laster, Ms. Jessica Laster, and Ms. Dedrous Laster, all of Ocilla Georgia.  Grandchildren:  Demetrius Laster Jr., Amanda Battle, Marcus Byrd, Jalisa Washington, Lelsey Laster, Andrew McRoy, Koriana Dunlap, KeAsia Freeman, Kenslie Laster, Sayvonia Edwards, Ashley Riley.  Siblings:  Ms. Susan Wynn of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Charlene Wynn of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Michelle and Mr. Hopson Williams of Ashburn Georgia, Mr. Lama and Mrs. Misty Martin, Mr. Bernard Martin, Mr. Timothy and Mrs. Kris Martin, Mr. Anthony Martin, Mr. Steve Martin, Mrs. Rachel and Mr. Stacy Davis, Mr. Chris and Mrs. Shelby Martin, Mr. Nicholas and Mrs. Misty Martin, all of Douglas Georgia, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Ms. Jennifer Wynn Laster is planned for Saturday May 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Minister Corey Wynn will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Ms. Laster will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:30 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Wynn and Laster families.
