Mrs. Mattie Bell Crumedy Hyman

Mattie HymanServant of God well done, rest from thine love employ.  The battle is fought, the victory is won, enter thy master's joy.  A voice at midnight came, she started up to here.  A mortal arrow pierced her frame, she fell but felt no fear.  With sadness in our hearts, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia, pause to announce the death and home going celebrations for Mrs. Mattie Bell Crumedy Hyman of 104 Young Ave. Mystic Georgia.  Born March 3, 1927 in Mystic Irwin county Georgia, to the late Mr. Bundy and the late Mrs. Alice Crumedy.  Mrs. Hyman received God's call from labor to reward on Friday January 28, 2022, at her home in Mystic Georgia.  She is survived by her children:  Deacon Jr. and Mrs. Freddie Slacks, and Ms. Helen Baker all of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mrs. Patricia Turner of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. George and Mrs. Janice Hyman of Fayetteville North Carolina, Mrs. Rosa Lee and Mr. Monroe Crockett of Saint Petersburg Florida, Mr. James and Mrs. Sharon Hyman of Columbaria South Carolina, Ms. Charlotte Middlebrooks of Mystic Georgia, Mr. Larry and Mrs. Gussie Hyman of Fitzgerald Georgia and Mr. Bubba Hyman of Mystic Georgia, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Home goings celebration for Mrs. Mattie Bell Crumedy Hyman is planned for Friday and Saturday February 4th and 5th 2022.  Mrs. Hyman will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla Friday morning 10:00 until 3:00 p.m. and at the Pine Bloom Baptist church in Mystic Georgia  4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends at the church on Friday 6:00 until 7:00 p.m.  Graveside services for Mrs. Hyman is planned for Saturday February 5, 2022 at 12:00 noon  from the Oak Grove Cemetery Highway 32 West in Irwinville Georgia where her pastor Rev. Ronald Dixon will deliver the eulogy and committal.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Crumedy and Hyman families.

Mrs. Ruby Mae Carter Riley

Ruby Mae RileyServant of God well done, rest from thy love employ.  The battle is fought, the victory is won.  Enter thy masters joy.  A voice at midnight came, she started up to here, a mortal arrow pierced her frame, she fell but felt no fear.  With sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street, Ocilla Georgia 31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mrs. Ruby Mae Carter Riley of 509 Fieldstone Drive, Ocilla Georgia.  Born November 12, 1931 in Vianna, Doley county Georgia.  Mrs. Riley received God's call from labor to reward on Sunday January 23, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical center in Tifton Georgia.  Mrs. Riley is survived by her children: Mrs. Jonnie Mae Smith of Newark New Jersey, Mrs. Clara Hall of Ocilla Georgia, Mrs. Rebecca and Mr. Leon King of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Aaron and Mrs. Cheryl Riley of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Eddie James Riley of Alamo  Georgia, Ms. Essie Mae Riley of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Hayward Riley of Albany Georgia, Ms. Janie White of Ocilla Georgia, and Mr. Clifford Riley of Fitzgerald Georgia. Several Grand, Great grandchildren and great greatgrand children, along with a host of other relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mrs. Ruby Mae Carter Riley is planned for Saturday January 29, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave.  Her pastor Rev. Christopher R. Douglas will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mrs. Riley will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 10:00 until 1:30 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Riley family.

Mr. Carlos McClain

Mr. McClain received God's call from labor to reward on Friday January 14, 2022 at his home in Miami Florida.  Born April 30, 1966 in Ocilla Georgia to Mrs. Everline McClain Battle and the late Rev. Johnny Battle. He is survived by his mother Mrs. Everline McClain Battle of Fitzgerald Georgia.  His children: Ms. Cataura McClain, Mrs. Shantravia Samuels, and Mr. Aaron Streeter all of Miami Florida.  A grandson: Mr. Christopher Parker Jr. of Miami Florida along with a host of siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mr. Carlos McClain is planned for Saturday January 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery 301 East Valdosta Ave. Ocilla, where Rev. Willie C. Mobley will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mr. McClain will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 10:00 until 11:30  Please continue to lift the McClain family up in prayer.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Frances Vernell Everson

A charge to keep I have, A God to glorify. And every dying soul to save , to fit it for the sky.  With sincere sympathy, the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak street Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause announce the death and home going celebration for Mrs. Frances Vernell Everson of Kalamazoo Michigan, formerly of Abbeville Georgia.  Born August 28, 1938 in Abbeville Wilcox county Georgia, to the late Mr. Solomon Anthony Smith Sr. and the late Ms. Elizabeth Doris Phillips.  Mrs. Everson received God's call to her enteral home on December 16, 2021 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo Mich.  She is survived by Two sons: Mr. Willie Raymond Everson Jr. and Mr. Anthony Everson both of Kalamazoo Michigan, along with a host of grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  A home going celebration for Mrs. Frances Vernell Everson is planned for Saturday January 22, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. from the Riverside cemetery highway 280 in Abbeville Georgia.  Rev. Mrs. Verline Roberts Jackson

Melvin D. Harper lll serves as pastor, and will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mrs. Jackson will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Roberts and Jackson Families.

Mr. Johnny Martin Jr.

Johnny MartinAt the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light, and the burden of my heart rolled away.  It was there by faith, I received my sight, and now I am happy all the day.  Today with sadness in our hearts, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death of Mr. Johnny Martin Jr. of Ocilla.  Born in Ocilla Georgia to Mrs. Gloria Morgan Martin and Mr. Johnny Martin Sr.  Mr. Martin enter into eternal rest on Thursday January 30, 2021 in Douglas, Coffee co. Georgia.  Born April 19, 1985 in Fort Hood Texas.   

He is survived by his parent: Mrs. Gloria Morgan Martin and Mr. Johnny and Mrs. Shelia Martin all of Ocilla Georgia.  Children:  Laila Martin, Jayla Martin, and Julian Champ Martin all of Ocilla Georgia.  Grandparents: Mrs. Berdell Cain and the late Mr. Charlie Cain, the late Mr. Charlie Jr. and the late Mrs. Nettie Mae Gainer all of Ocilla Georgia.  Siblings:  Mrs. Natasha and Mr. Lonnie Thrower and Mr. Jeremy Martin all of Atlanta Georgia.  Mr. Jaylen Martin and Mr. John Dowling both of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Janie Dowling  of Douglas Georgia, Mr. Travis Washington of Atlanta Georgia, Mr. DJ Taylor of Atlanta Georgia, Mr. Dustin Taylor of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Desmond Taylor of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Olivia Cooper of Waycross Georgia, Ms. Shalanda Fergerson of Fitzgerald Georgia, and the late Mr. Will Semexant, along with a host of aunts uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

A Home going celebration for Mr. Johnny Martin Jr. is planned for Saturday January 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla. Rev. Emanuel Ellison will deliver the eulogy and committal.   Mr. Martin will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Martin and Morgan families.
