Mary CarterI love thy kingdom lord, the house of thine aboard.  The church our blessed redeemers save, with his own precious blood.  I love thy church O God, her walls before thee stand.  Dear as an apple of thine eye, and graven of thy hand.  For her my tears shall fall, for her my prayers ascend.  For her my prayers and toils be given, till prayers and toils shall end, and so on the hymn goes.  With sadness in our hearts, the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla, Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and homegoing celebrations for Ms. Mary Frances Carter, of 25 South Williams Street, Alapaha Georgia   31622.  Born November 4, 1929 in Berrian county to the late Mr. Isaac Carter and the late Mrs. Mary Eady Carter.  Ms. Carter Received God's call from labor to reward on Monday March 7, 2022 at Tift Regional medical center, Tifton Georgia.  She is survived by her children:  Mrs. Doris and the late Mr. Willie Davis of Alapaha Georgia, Mr. Larry Jones of Lenox Georgia, Mr. Ronald and Mrs. Terri Jones of Palam Alabama, and Mr. Herbert and Mrs. Jewell Boone of Nashville Georgia, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.   Home goings celebrations for Ms. Carter is planned for Sunday March 13, 2022 at 11:00 from the West Fletcher cemetery, Highway 82 West in Alapaha Georgia.  Her pastor Rev. Marvin Smith Sr. will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Ms. Carter will lie in state on Saturday March 12, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist church 28 South Williams Street, Alapaha Georgia where Rev. Mr. Buster and Cindy White of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Siblings: Mrs. Ruth B. Gamble of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Columbus and Mrs. Earnestine Bryant of Wray Georgia, Mrs. Carrie B and Mr. Theodus Sneed of Miami Florida. Sister and brother-in-laws: Mrs. Carrie Bell Bryant of Ambrose Georgia, Mr. Glen and Mrs. Rita White of Connecticut, Mrs. Arsenia and Mr. Robert Coleman, Ms. R. Jean Johnson, Mr. Hughes and Mrs. Maple White all of Ft. Myers Florida, Ms. Freda Mae Brooks of Monticello Florida, Mr. Dwight White of St. Antonio Tx.  Special daughter in law, Ms. Dorothy Durham, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins' relatives and friends.  A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Precious Louvinia White is planned for Saturday February 19, at 11:00 a.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Rev. Randy Shelly will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mrs. White will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Bryant and White Families.

Mr. Corey Eady

Corey Eady Father we stretch our hands to thee, on other help we know.  If you withdraw yourself from us, we have nowhere to go.  With sorrow in our hearts, the Davis funeral home 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia 31774, pause to announce the death of Mr. Corey Eady.  Born September 14, 1977, in Ocilla Irwin County Georgia, to the late Ms. Arlinda Roberts and Mr. Artice Eady.  Mr. Eady departed this life on Friday February 4, 2022, in Portland Organ.  Mr. Eady is survived by his children: Corey Delondre Eady, of Ocilla Georgia, Kristen Eady, and Malaya Eady both of Atlanta Georgia.  His brothers:  Mr. Jonathan (Cynthia) Roberts of Fitzgerald Georgia Mr. Derek Roberts, of Fitzgerald Georgia, Mr. Dexter Eady of Ocilla Georgia, Mr. Artice Eady of Atlanta Georgia. along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  home goings service for Mr. Corey Eady is planned for Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from Rehoboth Fellowship church, 601 East Pine Street, Ocilla, where the pastor Rev. Melvin D. Harper lll will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Ocilla city cemetery. Mr. Eady will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning, 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 10:00 until 12:30 p.m.  The Davis funeral home has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Eady family

Born February 13, 1945 in Ocilla Irwin county Georgia, Mrs. Laws received God's call to her heavenly home on February 1, 2022 at the Kate's house in Ocala Florida.  Mrs. Laws is survived by One daughter: Ms. Wilanna Laws of Ocala Florida, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Home goings services for Mrs. Annie Kate Gaskins, is planned for Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ocilla city cemetery, 301 East Valdosta Ave. in Ocilla.  Mrs. Laws will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla, Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 10:00 until 1:00 p.m.  Please continue to pray for the Gaskins and Laws families.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.

Lay down thy wearied one lie down, thy head upon my breast.  I heard the voice of Jesus say, behold I freely give.  Thy living water thirsty one, stoop down drink and live.  I came to Jesus as I was wearied, wounded, and sad.  I found in him a resting place and he has made me glad.  With sadness in our hearts. the Davis funeral home, 301 North Oak street Ocilla Georgia pause to announce the death and home going celebration for Mrs. Flora Nell Jenkins Gaskins of 804 East 5th street Ocilla Georgia.  Born October 29, 1934 Irwin, county Gladys community to the late Mr. Frank Jenkins and the late Mrs. Albertha Deberry Jenkins.  Mrs. Gaskins Boarded her heaven bound train to be with the lord on Wednesday February 2, 2022 at Tift regional Medical center in Tifton Georgia.  She is survived by her children:  Ms. Deborah Thomas of Riverdale Georgia, Ms. Janice Joseph of Ocilla Georgia, Ms. Phyllis and Mr. Kenneth Edwards Sr. of Ocilla Georgia, and Mr. Carree Gaskins of Nicholls Georgia.  One sister Mrs. Mary Young of Ocilla Georgia.  10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.  Home going services for Mrs. Flora Nell Jenkins Gaskins is planned for Saturday February 12, 2022 at 12:00 noon from the Ocilla city cemetery 301 East Valdosta Ave in Ocilla where her pastor Rev. James C. Curtis will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mrs. Gaskins will lie in state at the Davis Funeral home in Ocilla Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m.  The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the Jenkins and Gaskins families.
