Mrs. Carrie Bell Stepherson Moffett

Born April 1, 1936, in Ocilla Georgia to the late Mr. William John (Bud) Stepherson and the late Mrs. Lila Clemons Stepherson. Mrs. Moffett received God's call from labor to reward on Thursday May 19, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband: Mr. Thomas James Moffett Jr. of Fitzgerald Georgia. Their children: Mrs. Sylinda and Mr. Alex Cummings of Dansbury Connecticut, Mr. Jimmie and Mrs. Diane Moffett of New Milford Connecticut, Mr. Michael and Mrs. Helina Moffett of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ms. Pamela Moffett of Fitzgerald Georgia, and Mr. Thomas Moffett Burroughs of New Haven Connecticut. Her siblings: Mrs. Mary Lee Stepherson Moss of Detroit Michigan, and Mr. William J. (Tom) Stepherson of Columbus Ohio, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends. A home going celebration for Mrs. Carrie Bell Stepherson Moffett is planned for Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 137 Moss Lane in Osierfield Georgia. Rev. Douglas Taylor will deliver the eulogy and committal. Mrs. Moffett will lie in state on Friday morning May 27, 2022, 10:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla. The family will receive friends at the Davis funeral home Friday evening 6:00 until 7:00. Interment will follow in the Osierfield community cemetery. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements. Please continue to pray for the Stepherson and Moffett families.

It is with sincere sympathy that the Davis Funeral home, 301 North Oak Street, Ocilla Georgia   31774, pause to announce the death and home going celebrations for Mr. Cedrick Bernard Brockington.  Born February 18, 1980, to Mrs. Johnnie Mae George Brockington and Mr. Cleveland Brockington.  Mr. Brockington received God's call to his heavenly home of Friday May 13, 2022 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athen Georgia,  surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Brockington is survived by his wife: Mrs. Barbara Logan Brockington of Atlanta Georgia.  Their children: Brakiz Brockington, Prynce Brockington, Jyterrian  Logan, Sunterreya Sanders all of Atlanta Georgia.  His mother Mrs. Johnnie Mae Brockington of Ocilla Georgia. His father and step mother Mr. Cleveland and Mrs. Jennifer Brockington of Douglas Georgia. Grandmother Mrs. Louvonia George of Ocilla Georgia.  Siblings, Mr. Cleveland Brockington and Mr. LaCorlo Brockington both of Douglas Georgia, along with a host of in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.  Home going services for Mr. Cedrick Brockington are planned for Saturday May 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Rehoboth Fellowship church, 601 East Pine street, Ocilla Georgia, where pastor Melvin D. Harper lll services as pastor. Rev. J. W. Slacks of 510 West Alapaha Street, Fitzgerald Georgia  31750.  Born May 7, 1946, in Mystic Georgia, to the late Mr. Ezekiel Slacks Sr. and the late Mrs. Mattie Bell Crumedy Hyman.  Deacon Slacks received God's call from labor to reward on Thursday May 5, 2022 at his home in Fitzgerald.  He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Freddie Mae Deese Slacks, of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Children: Ms. Pamela Slacks, Ms. Dianne Deese, and Mr. Raymond Deese all of Fitzgerald Georgia, Ms. Cherron Deese and Ms. Greta Deese both of Jacksonville Florida,  Mrs. Beverly and Mr. Markus Lawson, Mr. Tyrone and Mrs. Parsha Slacks of Chula Georgia, and Mrs. Karen and Mr. Carl Jenkins of Fitzgerald Georgia. Mrs. Watson received God's call to her heavenly home, on Tuesday April 26, 2022, at her home in Ocilla.  Mrs. Watson is survived her daughter: Ms. Monquie Newkirk (Timothy Brown) of Fitzgerald Georgia. Grandchildren: Larriesha Pope, Dominique Brown, K'lannie Brown, and Kemiya Brown all of Fitzgerald Georgia.  Siblings: Mr. Charlie and Mrs. Sylvia Goolsby of Broxton Georgia, Mr. Sherman Jr. and Mrs. Kari Goolsby of Waycross Georgia, Mrs. Shaunda and Mr. Timothy Walton of Wray Georgia.  A special sister-in-law: Mrs. Shonda Goolsby of Wray Georgia along with a host of in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. James C. Curtis will deliver the eulogy and committal.  Mr. George will lie in state at the Davis funeral home in Ocilla on Friday morning 10:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. The Davis funeral home of Ocilla has charge of all arrangements.  Please continue to pray for the George family.
